Throughout my life, I have envisioned creating porcelain ball‑jointed dolls. Each year, however, this vision remained just beyond reach due to the significant challenges of working in such an unforgiving medium; the cost of a kiln, multiple firings, and the extensive time required for hand‑sculpting each doll.

For a long time, I told myself that doll making was a dream to pursue someday, when resources and circumstances allowed.

Now in my 30s, I recognized that waiting any longer risks leaving these ideas unrealized. I have chosen to begin immediately, using the tools currently available to me, rather than allowing the vision to remain intangible.

Rachel of Arc Dolls is the continuation of that decision. A long‑held dream becoming a tangible body of work. My focus is on creating high‑end art dolls that honor real bodies, overlooked beauty, and the stories rarely represented in fine‑art collectibles. This work is built through discipline, daily practice, and a commitment to representation within a field that has historically centered narrow ideals.

What began as a private vision is now an evolving, documented practice: refining joints, adjusting proportions, reworking forms, and building a legacy one sculpt at a time.
